Representatives Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY), Joseph Pitts (R-PA), and Gene Green (D-TX), the lead sponsors of H.R. 1293, the Access to Medicare Imaging Act of 2007, are working together once again. This time, the trio are urging their colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives to join them on a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stating their opposition to making any new cuts to Medicare medical imaging services, such as MRI, CT, and ultrasound. The letter is similar in nature to one recently sent by 30 U.S. Senators to the leadership of the Senate Finance Committee. That letter also expressed opposition to any new medical imaging services cuts.
